The purpose of LionsCyclingforSight.Org is to promote Lionism and raise funds through sports to Cure and
Prevent Blindness. We solicit Lions Clubs, individual
Lions, businesses, and private individuals to provide sponsorships. In return,
we conduct marketing for our sponsors by promoting their names through bicycling, advertising, and visability in
electronic and print media, and involvement in community affairs.

Our first event day: 23 June 2007, Rogers Tavern, Perryville,
MD. What a gorgeous day!!

Loyal Friend Dutch. You need not ask. Dutch was an Airedale Terrier. Airedales were bred in the 1800's in
the Aire River area of Scotland to hunt otters. They are supposed to swim in the river and approach the otters' den
in the steep banks; hence, their long neck, duck feet, and double coat. Even though Dutch lives on the banks of Otter
Point Creek where otters also live, he would try to kiss an otter if he met up with one. This is a Memorial to Dutch
as he passed away from a heart attack on 19 August 2011 chasing a fox he had no intention of ever catching. We miss
him a TON!!! You can see another Memorial at Dee's Flowers and Gifts, downtown Aberdeen.
